Friends, this is the last week of the third quarter. Next week we enter the fourth quarter of 2019! This is your reminder to end the year strong. I don’t know about you but 2019 has been a year of transitions. The one truth about transitions is that it leaves us with need to adapt. We need to adapt to our new state after a transition.

The interesting thing is that while our own transitions are going on in life, the real estate market in Denver has followed suit. Can you feel it? There is definitely a bit of a shift occurring. Overall, we are seeing more homes on the market, longer days to sell a home and, overall, less chaos than the five years prior.

Was your goal to buy or sell a home in 2019? You have three more months left in 2019, will you follow through? Sure, there is a bit of a change in the market but that really shouldn’t scare you, the market is a cycle (just like life).

Home Buyers – Interest rates are still historically low. We ended up refinancing when they hit 3.99%, do me a favor and take advantage of the even lower rates now. Also, for the first time in five years: you have options! You may not have to compete for a home! You have a bit more leverage!

Home Sellers – Sure, you are reading the above and thinking “well, if it is easier for buyers, then that means it is harder for sellers now”. Not so fast, we have to compare WHERE WE CAME FROM. The last five years have favored sellers so greatly that any reprieve for buyers will feel like a huge win. The current marketplace is starting to become more balanced but it still favors the sellers. It is “slightly less of a sellers market”. You may not sell your home in a weekend but I challenge you to reframe your view on the current market, is a few weeks really all that long to sell a home?

Let’s all head into quarter four amped up and ready to finish the year strong! If you need a little extra push into quarter four, let me tell you what I do when I need motivation. I listen to successful and motivational people. When I start feeling like I am in a slump, I “surround” myself with the greats.

Eric Thomas: Lately, I have stopped listening to music on my runs and turning this man on. He has a podcast called Success and I listen to old episodes or some of his speeches. The last 15 minutes of my run, I turn on this speech. Try it.

Ed Mylett: Another man whose message can get me pumped up. He has a podcast called Show which is superb. The podcast episodes feature him speaking solo or interviewing people with stories of greatness and success. He also has a pretty phenomenal Instagram account that spreads motivation, support and happiness throughout the day. He is real, open and honest, which can be a rarity.

Rachel Hollis: I actually didn’t know about Rachel Hollis until I broke down and read Girl, Wash Your Face. In my opinion, the book was good but not earth-shattering. However, I love watching this woman’s rise to the top. She has two podcasts, Rise Podcast and Rise Together(with her husband, Dave Hollis). She runs business conferences, has a QVC partnership and just announced a partnership with Target. She is constantly working to better herself in business, health, relationships, family, etc. It is a nice reminder that life is not linear and success does not mean that you stop growing, you now need to push to a higher level.

Whatever your goals may be for fourth quarter, lets support one another! We are at the last three months to get it done, let’s get it done together!
