I used to despise the color white, it didn’t have enough personality for me. I would have taken a yellow, pink or green any day. Although, I have realized white is quite a powerful color. It is a result of a mixture of all the frequencies of colors! It may not be as stimulating as other colors but it opens the way to creation, i.e. it is a blank slate. Painting your walls white paves the way to create your room through other elements, such as furniture, accessories and additional colors. There are so many different shades of white, what paint color do you choose? Here is a roundup of some of my favorite Benjamin Moore white paints.
As you can see, not all white paint is created equal. Some are softer or some have grey undertones while others have beige. Take a look at what these colors look like in the home.
Benjamin Moore – White Down
A white paint with a subtle grey undertone.
Benjamin Moore – Paper White
An antiqued white.
Benjamin Moore – Decorator’s White
Benjamin Moore – Simply White
2016 Color of the Year.
Benjamin Moore – White Dove
Any of these whites are the perfect neutral for your home’s walls. If you prefer more color on your wall, these white paints are also a great option for staging your home to sell. White walls do a great job at creating a sense of calm and clean lines while accentuating other (selling) features of a home.
